2018 GMC Yukon Goes Dark With Graphite Edition
The 2018 GMC Yukon is already a stylish people hauler, but it’s about to get a little more stylish with two all-new Graphite Edition models for the Yukon SLT.
The 2018 Yukon’s new Graphite models are twofold, as they include one aesthetic-only package and one that adds extra muscle to the mix. GMC dubbed the former just the Yukon Graphite Edition, and its upgrades include 22-inch wheels with Carbon Flash Metallic pockets, black assist steps with gloss-black accents, black-chrome grille insert and fog light surrounds, body-color grille surround, black roof rails, gloss-black beltline moldings and additional black trim.
The more performance-oriented model, dubbed the 2018 Yukon Graphite Performance Edition adds all the aesthetic goodies the Graphite Edition includes and a long list of additional upgrades. The additional updates include a 6.2-liter V-8 engine with 420 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque, a 10-speed automatic transmission, magnetic ride control, 22-inch gloss-black wheels, an active two-speed transfer case on four-wheel-drive versions, a trailer-brake controller, 170-amp alternator, 3.23-to-1 axle ratio, a high-capacity air filter, Bose active noise cancellation, a multi-color head-up display, 8-inch customizable driver information center, and touchscreen navigation.
Buyers can order both Graphite Edition models in the standard Yukon SLT level or the longer Yukon XL SLT and with rear-wheel or all-wheel drive. It’ll come with three color options: Onyx Black, White Frost Tricoat, and Dark Sky Metallic. Pricing will come as we near the Graphite Edition’s summer release date.
