By Justin Cupler | June 29th, 2018

When you think of machines that balance refined design and innovative engineering, you might think of sophisticated watches and personal airplanes, but now you can also think of the 2019 GMC Terrain Denali. Boasting available all-wheel drive, a classy chrome grille, and 252 horsepower, the Terrain Denali ensures you’ll love the way you look and feel driving it. And thanks to new features like a hands-free liftgate, every trip will be a pleasure. Check out the details coming to the 2019 Terrain Denali to get excited about your new compact SUV today.

Under the hood is a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine that produces 252 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque. This engine mates to a smooth nine-speed automatic transmission, and you can choose between front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive. With the front-wheel drive, the Terrain gets an EPA-estimated 22 mpg city and 28 mpg highway. With all-wheel drive, the Terrain offers extra traction in less-than-ideal road conditions and nearly the same fuel economy at 21 mpg city and 26 highway.

Stay in control of your all-wheel drive 2019 GMC Terrain Denali with the standard Traction Select system that allows you to make real-time adjustments for optimal performance. Swap between front-wheel- and all-wheel-drive modes for improved fuel economy in everyday driving situations or send power to all wheels on wet or snow- and ice-covered roads. Choose off-road mode for extra traction and stability on dirt, gravel, or sandy roads. Or select the available tow/haul mode for enhanced trailering and performance by providing trailer sway control and automatically engaging all-wheel drive to improve traction on boat ramps and gravel roads. Front-wheel drive models include a normal/tour mode, snow mode, and available tow/haul mode that lessens the chance of wheel slippage in low-traction driving conditions.

The 2019 Terrain Denali has leather-appointed front seats with French stitching, Bose seven-speaker sound system, and an available Skyscape sunroof that extends into the second row so more passengers can enjoy the view. You’ll discover all-season comfort in the front seats with ventilation and heat to keep you cool in the summer and warm in the winter. The heated, leather-wrapped steering wheel provides the comfort and convenience you want on those chilly mornings.

Now you can bring everything with you on your next weekend getaway. When your hands are full, kick your foot under the left side of the rear bumper to activate the GMC Terrain Denali’s hands-free power liftgate. With a fold-flat second-row, the Terrain swallows up to 63.3 cubic feet of cargo. The front passenger seat also folds flat to accommodate longer items.

And you’ll love the full suite of advanced technologies that keeps you and your passengers connected. The Terrain Denali offers standard smartphone-like navigation that can guide you to your destination and help you find more efficient routes. Or if you prefer to use your smartphone’s navigation, you can connect your Android or Apple device to it and stream your favorite navigation app through the infotainment system. You can also personalize the 8-inch diagonal touchscreen to bring your favorite apps and features front and center. Thanks to the available 4G LTE Wi-Fi, you can connect up to seven mobile devices and stream videos, surf the web, listen to your favorite music, and more.
